Trivia for Sniw Nialliv Eht!
- Shot on 16mm black and white Tri-X film.
- The casting changed completely right up until the night of filming. Originally my friend Bart was supposed to play James Bond and my other friend Vinny was to play Dr. Anonymous. Vinny and Bart had a falling out the week before filming so I cut Bart and replaced him with my roommate Jason in order for there to be no conflict on the set. Then on the night of filming Vinny's mother came to town so Vinny had to leave filming My roommate Jesse was brought in to play the villain at this point but had to be fired due to creative differences. I then begged Ryan Lay moments before filming to play the villain
- Jason Weisel who plays James Bond was originally supposed to play the henchman. Drew was offered the part when it became vacant and because he was hanging out on the set watching.
- First movie I shot on film.
- Edited by cutting and taping the raw film together and not by computer. The film was edited in a weekend editing marathon at the school days before it was due.
- Originally tracks from Batman Returns were supposed to be the music playing in the background, namely the music that plays when the Penguin first captures Max Shrek in the film. The more I edited the more I realized that the original music didn't establish the tension that the scenes needed so "Brass Thing" from Danny Elfman's Serenada Schizophrana worked better.
- Read the title backwards.
- Dr. Anonymous' deformed hand is in fact a rubber dishwashing glove that is to small and is partly stretched around Ryan's hand.
- When Bond drinks the milk and the villain starts laughing, there was originally a shot of a calendar with the day after the expiration date circled which would give the exposition that the milk was bad. Because this film had no story-board I forgot to film it and by the time I remembered the film was being developed.
- The film was mostly inspired from the many scenes in James Bond type movies in which the villain captures the hero and messes with the hero's mind to the point where the villain drops his guard and the hero has a chance to kill him. I wanted to make it so that the hero FINALLY takes the shot.
- The film was made three weeks before the newest Bond film, Casino Royal, was to be released. I like many fans thought that Daniel Craig was going to ruin the franchise and that's why "Whoever" is under his picture. I ended up eating my words when the movie finally came out.
- The music that plays when James Bond drinks the expired milk is the same music that plays during the showdown between Oogie Boogie and Jack Skellington near the end of the Nightmare Before Christmas.
- Chips Ahoy had to be the cookies in the film because Chips Ahoy are the nicest and friendliest cookies that I could think of.
- It's implied that the reason that actors are brought in to replace James Bond is because Dr. Anonymous keeps killing them off.
- The shots of the actors on the walls and the music in the beginning were put in to imply that Jason was James Bond. At one point Jason was going to wear a big name tag that said "I am James Bond" on his coat but I felt that it would be insulting to the audiences intelligence.
- Chips and soda was provided on set to keep the actors happy and relaxed.
- Shown at an experimental film festival at my school. Although I didn't attend, I was told that no one laughed and hardly anyone understood it.
- Was originally shown with Stop-Motion Jack because they were shot on the same roll and on the same night.
- Jason was very nervous during filming I would reassure him be saying, "Don't worry Jason, no one is going to watch this movie and say "I'm glad I saw that!"
