Trivia for Can of Revenge
- Was in production for over five months.
- Took nearly a month to shoot.
- There was so much footage that the movie had to be edited on two editing machines.
- The montage of death was shot in two nights.
- Had a buget of over $30.
- Pepsi One and Dr. Pepper were originally supposed to be in the first movie. They were cut due to time constraints.
- Much of the music heard during the movie is taken from the T.V. series Invader Zim. At some points music from Spider-man 1 and 2 and Corpse Bride was used.
- A can of Pepsi Edge and Tab was not available during filming. Labels for the soft drinks had to be printed off of the Internet and carefully taped onto a can of regular can of Pepsi and Coke with Lime.
- When the montage of death starts, there is an image of a sunset. That scene had to be filmed on top of the BX for 2 hours. The wind was blowing so strongly that I had to stand outside with the camera the entire time and hold the tripod steady. The scene amounts for 8 seconds in the finished movie.
- In all of the scenes where the Can Killer is in costume, there is actually a can of Coke with Lime in the costume.
- Dr. Pepper has a minor in aluminum surgery.
- Diet Coke's voice is based on Mr. Wagner's voice. The only change is that it is sped up from his regular speaking voice.
- Pepsi Lime's identification number in the hospital is 060288. 060288 is my birthday.
- The rooftop fight was the first scene to be conceptualized.
- In the scene where Mountain Dew vomits, the amount of liquid that leaves his body is equal to one can of Mountain Dew. No other Mountain Dew cans were used for that scene. That is also the exact amount of time it took to drain that can.
- Cherry Coke was originally scripted to be walking with Diet Coke with Lemon when she gets murdered. A can was not available and she was changed to Coke with Lime the night of filming.
- When Dr. Pepper is identifying the bodies of Serra Mist and Pepsi Lime, he comments that the date is Friday the 21st. That line was written on Friday the 21st back in November of 2005.
- Sprite lives in a garbage can complex.
- While recording the sounds of Mountain Dew vomiting, I actually started dry heaving. These sounds can be heard in the final cut.
- Coke with Lime was used as a stunt double for some scenes.
- This movie reveals that Diet Coke was not in on the murders in the first movie.
- "Itsa Chicken!", the only phrase that Sprite can say, was a something a Chinese woman said to my dad on our trip to China.
- The song "Who ate the last potato chip?" was recorded in one take and was written on the spot as I was singing.
- During the scene where the crowd is gathered around the dead body of Pepsi Edge, the Can Killer can be spotted standing at the back of the crowd in full costume. He is standing next to Dr. Pepper.
- The music heard during the rooftop fight is from the video game Kingdom Hearts. The choir heard during Coke revealing was also from the game.
- Tab was at one point going to be the murder in the first Can of Murder. It was felt that Coke's motivation made for a funnier plot, but the idea was saved for the eventual sequel. His motivations were the same except that he did not side with Coke.
- The street that Pepsi Edge's murder was filmed on was only about 40 feet long. The car had to be repeatedly backed up and sped forward while moving the camera to different angles.
- The rooftop fight was shot on my patio, five feet above the ground.
